Wrong Place Wrong Time « Thread Started on Aug 14, 2009, 8:52am »
Hey all you great KR people, I have a funny one for ya'.Last weekend, sitting sipping my morning coffee and looking like hell , the telephone rings. I thought someone died cause everyone knows do not call my house before 12 noon any day of the week ( we sleep very late around here). It was my hair dresser with her six screaming kids in the background. "hurry" she yells at me, get down here right away ( how did she know my hair was that bad over the phone?). She explains she was checking into the ( I will leave the name of the place out for Kid's privacy), a very lovely full service upscale hotel about 2 minutes from our home and Kid's tour bus was parked in the front. She sent her kids on a " Kid Rock Hunt", checking the restaurant, pools, public areas, and of course the bars. As it turns out, six little detectives could not find him, so they all took pictures in front of the bus as it was parked idly in front of the place. As the last of the six kids had their pic taken, suddenly the bus was on and rolling towards the exit of the hotel. Again, another chance missed. I have already had my chance, loved it, reported it here a long time ago so I did not even go to the hotel cause my coffee was still hot, and yes, my hair was a mess.Moral to the story...always be prepared ( at least have a camera and your hair looking good!)

LOL! Boy, do I hear you on that. In Massachusetts, we pulled in right next to his bus at the hotel, he was on the floor above. Folks saw him enter and leave to attend a Red Sox game. If you were lucky enough to be standing outside......
Myself, I was occupied with bathing, dressing, and coffee, like you...but it sure shows how if the timing is right and you are in the right spot....bing.
Couple folks tried to run down to catch him, but he was gone in the flash of an eye into the limo. Fun to see him, though!

Actually plenty of folks catch up with him and get to meet him. Which is great.
What I cannot understand is those that constantly seek to meet him time and time again. What's the point? What do they want from him? Give others the chance....

I'd be guessin that some people see him as a 'real' kinda guy not a plastic icon. Maybe they hope if they are in the right place, at the right time and say the right thing a friendship may spark or at least leave Kid knowing who he met. Don't be so hard on peeps KID ROCKS

Talking about folks who constantly go back for more once they have met him. Not folks trying to meet him for the first time.
